FMGs (indicated in blue) include the one at the gated entrance to town (#1) the one sleeping in the attic (#2) the two pacing from the churchyard to just beyond the filling station (#s 8 & 9) the two pacing from the house with the attic and along that southwestern stretch of road to just beyond the churchyard (#s 10 & 11) and the two chatting in the square (#s 12 & 13).

The enemy soldiers fall into two categories I’ll refer to as, for lack of better terms, “Fixed-Movement Guards” (“FMGs”) and “Variable-Movement Guards” (“VMGs”). As a rule of thumb, once the enemy starts shooting and/or shouting, it’s over. In order to score the prize, as everyone knows, you must take out these first 13 soldiers “without being detected.” This means without being spotted or having your position triangulated.
